Things to expect.. Mean old bastard at the front gate, nasty outdated bathrooms, fishing is terrible with bass boats running back and forth between boat ramps, and high grass

Packed up a tent and a few other things to stay at a lake for the weekend, called Lavonia Park to make a reservation and a man said no reservation was needed. Showed up at 8pm and a grumpy old man said nothing was available. He said everything was reserved and he couldn't give me a spot for a tent. I asked him if he had any suggestions and he said I could sleep in the Walmart parking lot! I was Drove an hour to Ray Roberts Lake and had a great time. Plenty of room and a great staff! Go to hell old man

We stayed there in April, and had a nice time on lot # 11. We reserved the same lot when we upgraded and bought our travel trailer. This time we had to pack up and come home on the last night-- b/c the electrical pole on our site was having some kind of power surge. Our a/c (and all other electrics) kept going on and off all day-- our trailer became unbearably hot. We could not stay in it. They need to pre-warn others coming in on that lot. They need to reduce the price on lot#11 and #13 (who were having the same problem)

Excellent park with very good sized lots for each RV/Camper with grill, fire pit, picnic bench under cover. Extremely friendly and helpful staff working the gate! Not far from civilization if you need a restaurant or groceries but feels like it's out in the country. Different lots to choose from, if you book far enough in advance, depending on if you want hill top or lake side.

Park is falling apart. Our RV spot had a crater in it that we had to straddle with the tires to be able to park. The site was so slanted that even after blocking up the tires we still felt like we were going to slide into the lake all night. The facilities are horrible and falling apart also. Stay away.
